Huldenberg

Huldenberg (including Loonbeek, Neerijse, Ottenburg and Sint-Agatha-Rode) covers no less than 4,000 hectares of unique geography. Vast fields, unspoilt nature reserves, primeval forests and sunken roads form the ideal backdrop for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts.

It was in Huldenberg that Felix Sohie began growing grapes in the walled greenhouse of the castle garden in the 19th century. His experiments laid the foundations for greenhouse grape cultivation, which would put the Grape Region on the map.
