Bertem is located between Brussels and Leuven, but is surprisingly green. The 'Bertembos' forest lies on the Brabant plateau and, together with the 'Koeheide', forms a paradise for walkers and nature lovers.
You will find rare fauna and flora, mushrooms and beautiful views. On the edge of the forest is the ''t Vossenhol' play forest, with natural play elements, a picnic area and a wheelchair-accessible path.
The Sint-Veronakapel chapel was already a popular place of pilgrimage in the Middle Ages, and you can taste the local pride in the regional beer Den Teusser.
